AI at all costs? – Alumni Talk with Ferdinand Ferroli

September 25, 2024 | 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm

The rapid development and spread of AI, especially Large Language Models (LLMs), will not only change our economy, but also have a profound impact on our personal relationship with the digital. As organizations adapt their strategies to remain competitive, people will find themselves increasingly surrounded by AI-powered processes and tools that will fundamentally change daily interactions.

While this development promises increased efficiency and ease of use, it also raises concerns about privacy, authenticity and the alteration of cognitive processes. This Alumni Talk sheds light on the multi-layered impact of AI on society and the individual and discusses questions such as:

  • What can AI do in our everyday lives today and what can’t it do?
  • How is the use of AI changing the way we work, learn and solve problems?
  • What ethical challenges arise from the increasing integration of AI in decision-making processes and how can we overcome them?

About the Speaker:
Ferdinand Ferroli is Director of Policy & Research at the non-profit organization Identity Valley, where he works as a digital expert for trustworthy technologies. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Journalism & Media Management at FHWien der WKW in 2013.
