Maija Worek attended the Global Peter Drucker Forum in Vienna.
The Global Peter Drucker Forum is an international management forum in which CEOs, researchers, influencers and many business people participate every year in Vienna. The forum was founded in 2009 in memory of Peter Drucker, professor and management guru. The Hofburg Palace represented a magnificent venue for the fully booked forum.
This year’s topic was „Management. The human dimension”. The goal was to look beyond the technical point of view and discuss the implications for people and organizations, said Richard Straub, founder and organiser of the Forum (Die Presse on 26.11.2018).
The Forum offered many interesting panel discussions and parallel tracks as well as great networking possibilities. The speakers and session chairs posed good questions, offered good debates but no straightforward solutions to the problems discussed. Many speakers posed the topic that many businesses are not able to thrive in the complex environment and due to unpredictability, this is not going to get easier in the future.
Many top CEOs and researchers such as Gary Hamel, Henry Mintzberg, Dave Ulrich, Mariana Mazzucato, Paul Polman and Isabelle Kocher shared their ideas and solutions. The discussion was also interactive as there was the possibility to ask questions via an app.
If you are interested in the exchange on the topics strategy and management, I am looking forward to get in touch with you:
