For the fourth time, the SDG Day took place at FHWien der WKW, where everything revolved around the topics of responsible corporate governance, sustainability trends in tourism, sustainability communication vs. greenwashing and much more.
Numerous students, lecturers and employees attended FHWien der WKW’s Sustainability Day on Thursday, January 23, 2025 and took part in the diverse supporting program.
Project & Poster Presentations
Over the course of the semester, students from the Management & Entrepreneurship Study Programs developed in-depth project presentations on the topics of “Responsible Corporate Governance”, “Strategic Change” and “Strategic Management in Large Companies” and presented them on the SDG Day.
In the course “Organizational Communication & Ethics”, students from the Communication Management Study Programs analyzed companies’ advertising and communication measures in terms of authenticity and transparency and presented their findings in the form of posters on the topic of “Sustainability Communication vs. Greenwashing”.
Trend Market
The students from the Tourism & Hospitality Management Study Programs put together an interesting ideas market. Visitors were able to find out about various sustainability trends in tourism, such as zero waste, at various stands.
Workshops & Business Simulation Games
In the interactive simulation game SDG 2030, a map-based multiplayer game, participants were able to experience the implementation of the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals at first hand by simulating the development of the “real world” up to 2030.
In her simulation game on “Sustainable Urban & Tourism Development”, Cornelia Dlabaja showed how urban spaces can be designed sustainably. Participants were also able to experience interesting data journalism stories in the foyer.
