Students from FHWien der WKW developed marketing concepts for a Belgian brewery in a the short-term mobility program of the Bachelor’s programs in Corporate Communication and Marketing & Sales.
In the Bachelor’s programs in Corporate Communication and Marketing & Sales, students at FHWien der WKW get the opportunity to gain experience abroad in short-term mobility programs without spending an entire semester abroad. Fourteen students traveled to Belgium at the beginning of April to analyze the Belgian beer market as part of a “Blended Intensive Program” (BIP). The international week was hosted by our partner university, EPHEC University College in Louvain-la-Neuve, south-east of Brussels.
The students from a total of seven European countries got the assigment to design marketing concepts for the Brasserie de Waterloo from Brand Manager Edward Martin. In the briefing, he also gave an insight into the brewery’s work at the historic Waterloo site. The concepts were developed in mixed international teams. The best concepts were awarded at the end.
On behalf of FHWien der WKW, Hilda Helyes and Christof Sauke from the Competence Center for Marketing at FHWien der WKW accompanied and coached the students. Everyone won: above all the students, of course, but also the clients thanks to the inspiring results and, last but not least, the international team of lecturers.
The short-term mobility program for Bachelor students is constantly being expanded. There will be more offers soon!
