The students of the BA program “Tourism Management” explored the tourist USPs of the region of Piran in Slovenia.
Expert talks and site visits were an essential part of the two-day excursion, which was entirely organized by a group of students. We learned a lot about
- Slovenian cuisine,
- the internationally awarded salt of the saltpans of Secovjle,
- the modern and traditional production of olive oil and
- the tourist marketing of this historical region in Istria.
The last stop on the itinerary was the restaurant OKUS owned by our graduate Andrea Gredisnjak, who answered all the students’ questions – and provided them with an excellent asparagus risotto.
Altogether, we had two exciting and educational days and we would like to thank the organization team for their time and effort they put into that field trip!
