AI Revolution: Inputs for the future of organizations

At the end of November, the WorkSmart Circle and the Human Resources & Organization department hosted a peer-learning workshop. Under the title ‘AI and change, skills & corporate culture: how the AI revolution is changing your organization’, 40 participants gained valuable insights into the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on modern companies.

Led by trainers Sonja Strohmer, Community Lead at Work Smart Circle, and Steffi Bärmann, Academic HRD Expert & Lecturer at FHWien der WKW, over 40 people took part in this event virtually and on site. The main participants were managing directors, HR managers and executives who wanted to develop a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities associated with the integration of AI in their organizations.

The event began with a comprehensive overview of the dimensions of the impact of AI on business models, teams and our working culture. In interactive sessions, the participants discussed provocative theses and fascinating opportunities, as well as undesirable scenarios from the perspective of people and culture.

A particular highlight was peer learning in small groups, which encouraged the exchange of experiences and perspectives. Participants were able to learn from each other what steps other companies are planning and what strategies they are pursuing to actively shape the future. The aim was to identify concrete fields of action and to receive argumentation aids to communicate the urgency of AI internally.

The feedback was consistently positive; many participants appreciated the practice-orientated approach and the opportunity to network with other companies from different sectors.
