The Young Hotelier Award, an initiative of the General Manager Councils Vienna (association of the directors of the Viennese 5* hotel industry), is taking place in Vienna for the 15th time in succession and serves to promote young talent
The Young Hotelier Award was held for the 15th time in succession in conjunction with the Association of 5* classified hotels in Austria. In addition to highly attractive prizes, the initiative offers continuing education and excellent networking opportunities. All hotels belonging to the GMC or any other 5* classified hotel in Austria are entitled to participate.
The 2018 theme, in which participants presented their suggested solutions and recommendations for action, addressed the skills shortages in the tourism industry and the expectations of generation Y and Z employers on flexible work models and work-life balance.
Barbara Covarrubias was once again invited as an expert in HR research to be a member of the jury .
The ultimate goal of the YHA is the promotion of young talent. The award was created for future junior executives who have great potential and who are interested in further development and promotion opportunities in the challenging and varied tourism industry. In the course of the competition, getting to know the candidates as well as the exchange with leading personalities take center stage. Excellent networking, education and training opportunities accompany the participants through the entire competition.
