Business field project with the Austrian Disability Council: campaigns for more inclusion

January 28, 2025

Students of the Bachelor’s program in Corporate Communication developed concepts to strengthen the positioning of the Austrian Disability Council (ÖBR) in federal politics.

In their first business field project in the 3rd semester, the students of the part-time Bachelor’s program in Corporate Communication created comprehensive campaigns aimed at strengthening the involvement of the Austrian Disability Counsil (ÖBR) in political legislative decisions and making its voice more visible for people with disabilities in Austria.

Thought-out concepts from analysis to implementation

In six teams, the students developed encompassing communication concepts that took into account both traditional and digital channels. The focus was on formulating clear messages for political decision-makers in order to strengthen the relevance of the ÖBR in political discourse. The development of a targeted communication strategy tailored to the needs and expectations of political stakeholders was particularly important. To this end, they first analyzed the existing communication processes and developed solutions to sustainably increase the visibility of the ÖBR in perception.

In terms of political stakeholder management, the students also formulated concrete measures for networking the ÖBR with relevant political decision-makers and institutions. These are intended to intensify the dialog and ensure the active involvement of the ÖBR in future legislative processes.

Students impress client

The final concepts were presented to the clients Christiana Schneyder, Member of the Steering Committee and Kerstin Huber-Eibl, Head of Communications and Public Relations in a pitch in December 2024:

“The result of this project impresses with its professionalism and creativity. The concepts are practical and will help us to make our communication even more inclusive.”

With professionalism, creativity, and a strong sense of dedication, the students have demonstrated how hands-on training, and social value can walk side by side.
