Daniela Ortiz and Julia Domnanovich recently represented the CR4SME project in Tallinn, Minneapolis and New York.
This year, the renowned colloquium of the “European Group for Organizational Studies” (EGOS) took place at the University of Tallinn (Estonia). Daniela Ortiz, team leader of the “City of Vienna Competence Team for Sustainable, Strategic and Opportunity-Oriented Management of SMEs” (CR4SME) and h Julia Domnanovich, junior researcher in the same project were participants. They presented the paper: “The integration of corporate social responsibility in small and medium-sized enterprises: formality in informality?”
A few days earlier, the conference “Building Institutions for the Common Good: The Purpose and Practice of Business in an Inclusive Economy” took place at the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, Minnesota (US). Dr. Ortiz was invited to participate as an expert and present results of the project funded by the city of Vienna. Dr. Ortiz presented a teaching concept which she developed for the introduce the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into a management program.
During her trip to the US, Daniela Ortiz also took part in the Sustainability Centres Workshop at Cornell University in New York City. This is the most important international meeting of sustainability competence teams in business schools, organised by the Network for Business Sustainability (NBS).
Participation in these events not only enabled contact to potential cooperation partners in research and teaching, but also proved to be valuable for the further development of the research project in the field of responsible Management.
