The tax law block of the Bachelor’s program in Finance, Accounting and Taxation (Finanz-, Rechnungs- & Steuerwesen) comprises a total of five courses. Particular emphasis is given to an interdisciplinary teaching and a practice-oriented approach.
Therefore, it was especially exciting for the students to attend the guest speech of Harald Gutmayer on November 30, 2020. Mr. Gutmayer is director of the well-known tax consulting firm LeitnerLeitner, where he is particularly active in group tax law. At first, Mr. Gutmayer explained the initial situation in an seemingly hopeless tax matter. He then showed the students how the case could be made a success for the company after all by using the appropriate procedural methods.
In this way, the students of the Bachelor’s program in Finance, Accounting and Taxation were able to get an understanding of how even complex matters can be successfully solved through an academically based and at the same time practice-oriented education.
