With several assignments Daniela Wagner and Florian Aubke from the Tourism & Hospitality Management Study Programs took part in this year’s EuroCHRIE conference from October 24-27, 2022 in Apeldoorn, Netherlands.
EuroCHRIE is the leading association of universities in hospitality and tourism. At the conference, around 170 international participants exchanged their research activities and innovations in teaching. Florian Aubke, Head of Tourism & Hospitality Management Study Programs, presented the teaching concept of the BarCamp as it is currently being implemented in the introductory module of the Master’s program in Urban Tourism & Visitor Economy Management. In contrast to a traditional lecture, the students design the content and present themselves as experts in the chosen subject area right from the start of their studies.
However, the most important task was to introduce FHWien der WKW as the organizer of the 39th EuroCHRIE Conference in 2023. From October 3-6, 2023 we will welcome the delegates in Vienna and present a varied conference following the theme “Changing Realities. New Opportunities.” with lectures, discussions and workshops. We are thus promoting the professional network of the Tourism & Hospitality Management Study Programs and the position of FHWien der WKW as an important partner in the international educational landscape.
