Benefits are becoming increasingly important on the current employee market. Which ones are there and are they particularly in demand? Can companies use them to set themselves apart from the competition? Full-time students of the Bachelor’s program in Human Resources Management dedicated a semester to this topic and presented their results to Edenred Austria.
“Analysis of the importance of benefits for employee recruitment and retention in Austria” – this was the project assignment of the voucher provider Edenred. In order to be able to cover a broad spectrum of company types, the students examined start-ups, SMEs in Vienna and rural areas, state-affiliated companies, concerns and career platforms.
This involved conducting 16 interviews with company representatives, researching company websites, and analyzing provided quantitative data. In addition to analysis, students also gained valuable skills such as project & time management, teamwork and communication.
Final presentation of the results
In mid-June, the students presented the findings to five representatives of Edenred Austria. In addition, the students developed recommendations for action for the client Christoph Monschein, Edenred Managing Director.
He was enthusiastic: “The practical project with the HR Management program at FHWien der WKW was a complete success from the starting signal to the final presentation. The cooperation was very pleasant and the results very exciting. We look forward to deriving actions from it in the upcoming weeks and months and would like to thank the students and lecturers for their efforts.”
