The new semester marked the start of an exciting project with the job platform hokify for students on the Bachelor’s program Human Resources Management. The aim is to analyze the expectations of generations Alpha and Z on the job market within one semester and to derive concrete recommendations for action for companies.
Kick-off with hokify
The official kick-off for the project took place on February 25, when the students met with the clients Julia Gerstmayer and Markus Wirzlberger from hokify. At this first meeting, the task and project objectives were presented in detail and discussed together.
Gen Z topics
The students are working in six teams, each focusing on specific topics. The topics include the job search of the future, the application process, expectations of apprenticeships, training and employers, as well as whether parents have an influence on career choices.
Over the course of the semester, students will use various research methods, including literature analyses, interviews with young people, parents and experts as well as surveys. The aim is to obtain a comprehensive picture of the expectations and needs of young career starters.
“We are delighted to be working with the students from FHWien der WKW and are very much looking forward to the results of the project. We hope to gain valuable insights into the young generation’s expectations of the job market and innovative ideas on how we can tailor our services even better to their needs,” says Julia Gerstmayer about the cooperation.
