This winter semester our students from the course “current topics“ in the degree program Human Resource Management were able to get insights and fascinating field reports from economic experts to the latest topics job market and migration, outplacement, apprenticeship training and job sharing.
Mag.a Mag.a Margit Kreuzhuber, representative for migration and integration at the WKO on the topic of “migration and job market”, organized the first evening. Among other things, she presented the “WKO Fachkräfteradar“, a tool to evaluate skills shortage on a regular Basis.
The second subject was dedicated to “outplacement”. Dr. Peter Holzmüller and Mag.a Ingeborg Koszedar from Lee Hecht Harrison|OTM presented information about professional outplacement.
Mag. Erich Huber, representative of the WKO introduced us to the topic of “apprenticeship training”, delivering insights into the apprenticeship training in Austria. All students who participated can now apply for a certificate as trainer for apprenticeships.
The final evening was held by Mag.a Nicole Reitinger and Mag.a Michaela Foißner-Riegler from IKEA on the topic of „job sharing“. In an enthusiastic way, the women informed us of the advantages and disadvantages and their experiences of sharing the managing director position at IKEA Haid.
