On September 20, students from the Real Estate Management Study Programs visited the latest construction site of their cooperation partner GR Real in Hietzing. What makes it special: A property is being built here that skillfully combines sustainability and modern design.
The ground-breaking ceremony for this project in St.-Veit-Gasse took place in August 2024 and promises to create a modern apartment building with a total of six units.
The building is being constructed on a usable living space of almost 300 m² and comprises three room units and three flats. The innovative approach to the issue of densifying living space is particularly noteworthy: the new property is being realized in the existing inner courtyard of the building, which is already owned. This not only creates additional living space, but also places a strong focus on sustainability.
Managing Director Clemens Riha and Markus Schuh, Head of Real Estate at GR Real, were responsible for presenting and guiding the project. Both gave the students interesting insights into the planning and construction processes as well as the challenges associated with such an innovative project.
