On November 22, 2019, a guest lecture took place for the students of the Bachelor’s program in Finance, Accounting and Taxation in the course “Value Added Tax and Transaction Taxes”.
The lecture dealt with a central topic of value added tax, namely the deduction of input tax according to § 12 of the Value Added Tax Act. The input tax deduction is a central topic for each enterprise active in Austria and therefore particularly important also for the students in their later vocational activity.
The lecture was held by two experts from the practice, namely from the tax counsel Alexander Wojciechowski, MA and from the chartered accountant Mag. (FH) Michael Szücs. Both are former students of the study program Financial management, who are active in the renowned Kanzlei Grant Thornton as managers and/or partners.
This gave our students the opportunity to inform themselves about current topics and questions by people from the field.
