International HR project week: The Hague in Vienna

December 13, 2018

Students of De Haagse Hogeschool attend FHWien der WKW and work in international teams on HR projects

The successful cooperation with the De Haagse Hogeschool from the Netherlands was continued in this winter semester of 2018/2019: around 25 Dutch students attended FHWien der WKW in December and were supervised by lecturers of the study area of Human Resources & Organization: Maija Worek, M.Sc. Mag. Christine Güttel and Dr. Barbara Covarrubias Venegas were very pleased with the lively interest on the part of the international students. On the initiative of Mag. Christine Güttel, the participation in the International HR Project Week was also offered to the students of the degree program in Entrepreneurship.

In addition to the visit to and the guest lecture at the new Austria Campus and UNO, students worked on case studies on the following Topics:

  • International Assignments
  • Work in virtual teams
  • Data security and privacy in an international context
  • Performance Management
  • HR Sustainability

An interactive expert input on web conferencing from Argentina by Marcelo Baudino (CEO of the international company Iceberg Cultural Intelligence in Buenos Aires / Argentina) on the topic of “Challenges of global virtual teams” rounded off the exciting week and helped students prepare for virtual collaboration for the next weeks. Because: in January it’s off to The Hague.

We are very much looking forward to the international project week with the final presentations of Case Studies in January 2019 in the Netherlands.
