In an interesting practical project, Bachelor students on the Human Resources Management program took a close look at Erste Bank’s sDG sDienstleistungsgesellschaft. The aim was to find out how the company can increase its appeal as an employer through benefits and a sustainable learning culture across generations.
In self-organized groups, the students carried out a comprehensive analysis of the client as a first step. Various research methods such as literature research, interviews, market analyses and the analysis of employee surveys were used. The students were able to gain valuable insights into the staff`s needs and expectations.
Creative ideas for an attractive work culture
Based on these findings, the students developed innovative concepts and concrete solutions, ranging from boarding buddies and self-organized learning formats to structured offboarding measures.
For example, new employees are supported by experienced colleagues when they join the company. By means of self-organized learning formats, employees are given the opportunity to further develop their skills in a self-determined and individual manner. And by means of structured offboarding procedures, the knowledge of departing employees is not lost to the company but is preserved through targeted measures.
“We were very impressed by the wealth of proposed measures. We particularly liked the smart personas presentation ‘From start to finish with Emma & Max'”, says client Michael Bastel from sDG.
Coaches Gloria Warmuth and Stefan Teufl supported the students, who worked in self-organized SCRUM groups. Thanks to sDG sDienstleistungsgesellschaft for the interesting and practically relevant task. The collaboration was very constructive and gave the 4th semester students the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge directly in a real project.
