What about the application behavior of Generation Z applicants during their first job search? Together with our project partner hokify, our Bachelor students are investigating this exciting question this semester.
Digitalization has brought about major changes in application behavior in recent years. Social media platforms are becoming increasingly important and a positive candidate experience is becoming more and more important in attracting employees. The focus of the current practical project with our cooperation partner hokify is on the application behavior of Generation Z during their first job search. Our full-time Bachelor students of the 4th semester of the Human Resource Management study program will analyze their own application behavior for their compulsory internships in the HR sector, as well as their perceptions and experiences they make in the process.
The 6-phase model of the Candidate Journey according to Verhoeven serves as the theoretical basis. For our practical project, our students will use the first three phases, namely attraction, information and application, to analyze their own application behavior in small groups.
The kick-off took place in mid-February with Sebastian Prax from hokify, who is already eagerly awaiting the presentation of the results, which we expect in mid-June. This project is accompanied by the lecturers Thomas Angerer and Brigitte Hampel from the Human Resources & Organization Study Programs.
