On the 18th of January, students from the 3rd semester of the Bachelor’s program in Human Resource Management presented the findings of the study on the topic “How is Manpower/Experis perceived?”
Students from the degree program Human Resource Management worked intensively during the winter term 2017/2018 in the course Business Research 2 on a project concerning how the Manpower/Experis is perceived by various target groups. In detail, the study examined how the perceived image of the company changed after a registration or a job application by carrying out an online survey with more than 600 respondents.
Findings confirm the practical impressions of the clients. The perceived image of both of the brands of ManpowerGroup, “Manpower” and “Experis” differed in terms of their rating and how well known they were. Another important finding was that the demands of the target groups change constantly. General trends in the findings point to a higher level of education and pragmatic employer choice. Job seekers look for a straightforward process for receiving job offers and, once in the organization, they demand the possibility to participate in further education. The findings imply that the mere experience of registration may change the perceived image: participants who experienced the online registration process positively, perceived the image of “Manpower” and “Experis” significantly more positively as the ones who had a less positive experience during the online registration.
Furthermore, topics such as structure and transparency in the job seeking process were highlighted as particularly important for the participants.
The students were also invited by the CEO of Manpower Austria Erich Pichorner to present the findings in an internal employee event.
