Shaping the future of teaching: “Teaching Day | Inverted Classroom and Beyond” at FH St. Pölten

February 16, 2024

How should teaching be organized in the future? Which methods, tools and formats will be used? Silke Schwaiger from the Teaching & Learning Centre and Matthew Urmston from the Competence Centre for Business English explored this question at FH St. Pölten.

An important annual fixed date in the field of innovative teaching and learning formats is the “Teaching Day | Inverted Classroom and Beyond” at FH St. Pölten, which took place this year on February 13-14 under the motto “Innovative course formats. Shaping the curriculum of the future!”.

Over 100 participants – teachers and researchers – from universities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland discussed and exchanged views on sustainable curriculum development, innovative teaching and learning formats, key competences of the future and future teaching competences. During the two-day event, a lively, cross-institutional exchange took place, bringing together research and practice. Matthew Urmston from the Competence Center for Business English and Silke Schwaiger from the Teaching & Learning Center were also present.
