Around 140 participants gathered in the ZOOM meeting room on February 24, to learn more about “Rock your LinkedIn Profile!” from graduate Alexandra Huber.
Right at the beginning of the talk, the alumna of the Communication Management study program gave the audience some valuable tips for career design and job search based on her personal learnings. After various career stations, Alexandra Huber now works at LinkedIn as Marketing Manager for LinkedIn Learning. In addition to exciting insights into the world’s largest digital network for professional exchange, she gave the guests lots of tricks for designing and using their LinkedIn profiles.
How do you build your own brand and what should it be able to do? What features does the platform have and how can I use them best? What is the difference between a LinkedIn profile and my CV?
These and many other questions were answered in the talk. Using real LinkedIn profiles, the speaker made her tips tangible for the participants. However, the alumna always emphasized one important guiding principle: everyone has their own individual story and should feel comfortable with their own profile. Because in the end there is no right or wrong and the most important thing, as so often, is to be yourself.
The Alumni Talks always take place on the last Wednesday of the month. You can find the next talks here.
