Our first TM on tour in the new semester took us to the Hotel Andaz Vienna Am Belvedere, which opened in April this year.
Fifteen students had the opportunity to participate in the exclusive field trip to the hotel as well as in the following discussion with the hotel’s HR manager Ines Lochmann.
We were impressed by the authentic stories by Ines Lochmann. As a cluster human resource manager, she is not only responsible for the Andaz but also for the Hotel Park Hyatt in Vienna, which belong to the same brand. Not only the number of employees (around 450 in both hotels) but also the different leadership requirements of both houses are challenging.
Additionally, Ines Lochmann’s approaches towards employer branding, executive development and personnel planning in a hotel, which opened just four months ago, were critically discussed with the students.
