On April 19th 2018, the Austrian tourism research award „Tourissimus“ was awarded at the Mangement Center Innsbruck for excellent Bachelor’s and Master’s Theses.
Every year, the best Bachelor’s and Master’s Theses are awarded in the categories „Marketing and Destinations, Sustainability and Tourism Industry“ at the „Tourissimus Tourism Research Award“. Marvin Graiff Christandl, a graduate of the Bachelor’s degree in „Tourism & Hospitality Management“ completed his Bachelor’s Thesis on the topic „How much knowledge does the hotel industry need? A comparison of competencies of University of Applied Sciences and University graduates“ which was ranked second in the category Tourism Industry. The department of „Tourism & Hospitality Management“ attaches great importance to research and practical oriented theses.
