Georg Mayer and Mohamed Mokhles from our study area Human Resources & Organization are award winners of the Austrian Gay Professionals Research Prize 2018. Congratulations!
Every two years agpro awards dissertations that deal with situations of gay, lesbian and transgender people in business and the working environment. On February 18th, 2019 the award ceremony of the 11th agpro research prize took place at FHWien der WKW. Two out of three award winners came from the study area Human Resources & Organization.
Georg Mayer, student of the Bachelor’s Study Program Human Resources Management at FHWien der WKW, got the award for his Bachelor’s thesis „Instrumente und Maßnahmen des betrieblichen Diversitymanagements als Motivatoren für Homosexuelle“. Mohamed Mokhles, graduate of the Master’s degree program in Organizational & Human Resources Development at FHWien der WKW, got awarded for his Master’s thesis „Impact of HIV stigma on the job performance of people living with HIV/AIDS“. Stefan F. Ossmann from the Faculty of Historical and Cultural Studies at the University of Vienna was the third award winner. The title of his thesis is: „Stigmatisierung und Anerkennung polyamorös lebender Personen in Bezug auf Familienstrukturen, Freundeskreis, Arbeitsumfeld, und gesamtgesellschaftlicher Wahrnehmung“.
The award winners got the opportunity to present their work in front of important persons from politics and economy. Afterwards there was a panel discussion with the award winner together with Gudrun Feucht (Industriellenvereinigung) and Brigitte Hampel (FHWien der WKW). Gudrun Feucht and Feri Thierry (President of the agpro) awarded the prizes.
