Successful graduates will be honored this year at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel.
Vienna, June 21, 2023 – FHWien der WKW offers its graduates the best career opportunities in business. This year, for the 15th time, nine graduates will be honored with an Alumni Award.
Recognition for assertiveness, forward thinking and commitment
“The fact that many of our graduates are so successful in their careers makes us very proud. For many, their studies laid the foundation for careers at home and abroad. With the Alumni Award, which we have been presenting to outstanding graduates for many years, we highlight the successes of our alumni,” says Michael Heritsch, CEO of FHWien der WKW. The nominees for this year’s awards come from all study areas at FHWien der WKW and will be officially presented in fall. On November 20, 2023, 150 guests, including other top alumni of FHWien der WKW as well as representatives of the university and the business community, will gather to attend the presentation of the Alumni Awards in the elegant ambience of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Vienna.
Categories of the 2023 Alumni Awards:
- “Professional Achievements” – this category honors specialists and managers who achieve national or international success in their industry or field of activity.
- “Shaping the Future” – graduates are honored here who find forward-looking answers to pressing questions of our time with their way of thinking and their actions.
- “Exceptional Commitment to FHWien der WKW” – for award winners who are particularly committed to teaching or research at FHWien der WKW and thus contribute to the continuous development of the university of applied sciences.
Graduate creates award
The wide variety of career paths made possible by studying at the university of applied sciences, which specializes in management and communication, is also reflected in the specially created trophy. Artist Sonja Riemer, who is also a graduate of FHWien der WKW, expresses with her work of art the almost limitless possibilities and the feeling of being inspired to go new ways after graduation.
The Austrian, who has put down new artistic roots in Switzerland, picks up on important themes in the fragile beauty of her paintings and sculptures and explores the human condition with her works.
Premiere: Business Icon of the Year
In 2023, the new special award “Business Icon of the Year” will be introduced. For this purpose, FHWien der WKW brings an inspiring personality in a responsible position onto the stage, whose career can be an orientation for students as well as alumni.
