The 6th Gastronomy Founder’s Day at FHWien der WKW gives exciting insights into a dynamic industry.
Vienna, January 21, 2020 – With about 1,000 new businesses founded in Austria each year, the gastronomy sector is one of the top 10 start-up-oriented industries. Many founders turn their “dream of owning their own restaurant” into reality every year. However, a good idea alone does not guarantee the success of a new establishment.
Exchange about questions about start-ups in the gastronomy sector
From financing and legal hurdles to marketing concepts: every new start-up involves many questions. The 6th Gastronomy Founder’s Day at FHWien der WKW on Thursday, February 27, 2020, sees itself as a platform for the exchange and discussion of these questions. It is organized by the Tourism & Hospitality Management study programs of the university of applied sciences which specializes in Management & Communication.

Peter Dobcak, MSc., Chairman of the Gastronomy Section of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce, reports on the secret of success of start-ups in the gastronomy sector.
DDI Elisabeth Buchinger, Managing Director of Sensorikum – best of taste, promises an exciting discussion about multi-sensory experiences in gastronomy.
Three founders or take-overs will give exciting insights into their everyday life and explain why especially the first period of self-employment is a big challenge and how to start a successful business with good ideas:
