The computer-based admissions test will take place online. Therefore, you do not need to come to FHWien der WKW.
Once we have received your documents, you will receive an e-mail requesting that you log in and choose a date for the general business administration test and the real estate specific test.
The aptitude test is multiple choice, filled out on a computer and evaluates your existing level of knowledge about business administration.
Depending on your prior knowledge in business administration we recommend the following literature to help you prepare for the general business administration test:
- Thommen, Jean-Paul / Achleitner, Ann-Kristin: Allgemeine Betriebswirtschaftslehre
- Kreuzer, Christian: BWL kompakt – Die 100 wichtigsten Themen der Betriebswirtschaft für Praktiker
The focus of the degree program specific real estate test is on residence law, real estate valuation, structural basics, basics of real estate management, real estate finance and public construction law (building regulations of Vienna). This is because the Master’s degree program in real estate management is not a degree program for beginners, it requires students to have a solid knowledge base.
We recommend that you read the following literature in preparation for the degree program specific test:
- Artner / Kohlmaier (Hrsg.): Praxishandbuch Immobilienrecht, 3. Auflage, Linde, 2020
- Haunold-Kovar-Schuch-Wahrlich: Immobilienbesteuerung, Auflage, Linde 2016
- Bovenkamp et.al.: Immobilienbesteuerung Neu, Steuerreformgesetz 2020, 5. Auflage, Manz, 2019
- Lang / Klinger (Hrsg.): Handbuch Immobilienverwaltung in der Praxis, 3. Auflage, Linde 2022
- Kranewitter, Heimo: Liegenschaftsbewertung, 7. Auflage, Manz, 2017
- Faudon/Malai/Trenner: Bauträger- und Projektentwicklungsbeispiele, 4. Auflage, Manz, 2021
It is not compulsory to read everything, they are just suggestions that you could use to prepare yourself with.
We see ourselves as the leading university of applied sciences for management & communication. Therefore, you can expect a particularly challenging admissions procedure.
Since we want to know what potential you have, the computer-based test contains a number of questions that are not easy to answer. Please do not be discouraged by this! This will give us a more accurate picture of your potential and talents.
Seize the opportunity to show us and yourself what you can do!
