Program
The Bachelor’s program, offered in cooperation with WIFI Vienna or WIFI Burgenland, provides dedicated individuals, who have experience in accounting, the opportunity to deepen their practically acquired knowledge.
The studies do not require a general qualification for university entrance!
As courses are organized part-time the studies can be flexibly combined with employment and help students sustainably expand their skills in the fields of internal and external accounting.

To ensure that apprenticeships remain attractive as one of the most important training paths, it will also be possible for apprenticeship graduates in Austria to pursue academic degrees in the future.

Focus & Qualifications
The program is particularly aimed at individuals who want to pursue a career in accounting and expand or deepen their knowledge in accounting and finance-related topics. The continuing education program offers the opportunity to achieve a higher qualification at university level. It represents a successful combination of compact, theoretically grounded knowledge and practical training.
As a graduate, you will be able to take on your own areas of responsibility in accounting and/or controlling, such as leading projects or departments.
After 6 semesters the study program in Financial Accounting completes with the academic title “Bachelor Professional (BPr)”.
If you already hold a WIFI Financial Accounting certification, which allows the recognition of the first two semesters in accordance with § 12 FHG, your study period will be shortened to four semesters (starting your studies in the 3rd semester).

The BPr in Accounting is aimed at individuals who possess extensive professional experience in accounting.
Target group & Admission requirements
The Bachelor Professional program in Accounting is aimed at individuals with
- at least two years of relevant professional experience AND
- a successfully passed WIFI Financial Accounting exam OR a proof of public certification as an independent financial accountant according to BiBuG.
For applicants who can have the first two semesters recognized according to § 12 of the FHG due to their accounting certification at WIFI, the tuition fee is reduced by €2,000.
Application process
Applications are carried out directly at the WIFI regional offices. Subsequently, the application documents are reviewed by FHWien der WKW to ensure compliance with the admission criteria. If accepted, the training contract is concluded directly with the WIFI regional office. A template of the respective training contract can be found on the WIFI regional office’s website.

General
- Tax reimbursement: You can write off the tuition fees against your taxes, as long as the continuing education program is relevant or related to your current occupational field. The tax advantage depends on your total income. You could be reimbursed for up to 43.6 % of the tuition fees!
