The bachelor’s degree program in Applied Business Management is aimed at experienced and independent employees who want to work on specific topics from their own company (or business area) within the framework of a business administration degree program. The practice-oriented academy of Applied Business Management offers prospective students a holistic and well-founded professional training in entrepreneurship – without general qualification for university entrance or a Bachelor’s degree.

* In accordance with the creditability provisions of § 12 of the University of Applied Sciences Act (FHG), students may be awarded up to 30 ECTS credits upon providing proof of academic, professional, and/or extracurricular qualifications. Additionally, relevant confirmed professional employment of the students is recognized as an internship during the second semester, provided that it exceeds the required two years of work experience necessary for admission and lasts for at least six months. If recognition of the first two semesters is granted under § 12 of the University of Applied Sciences Act (FHG), students may begin their studies in the third semester.
The BPr in Applied Business Management is a university program in accordance with § 9 of the University of Applied Sciences Act (FHG), leading to the degree “Bachelor Professional (BPr).”
The Academy of Applied Business Management is conducted in cooperation with several WIFI regional offices in Austria.
The Program
The part-time Bachelor’s degree program in Applied Business Management extends over six semesters and aims to comprehensively prepare graduates for various fields of corporate management. It provides practical and scientifically grounded knowledge that is essential for a successful career.
Students benefit from expert lecturers with both practical and academic background. Scientific expertise is covered by learning the basics of scientific work and writing a Bachelor’s thesis.
The program is designed to be flexible, allowing students to balance their studies with their professional careers. It supports students in sustainably expanding their skills in areas such as the strategic direction of companies, corporate accounting, and general legal principles.

To ensure that apprenticeships remain attractive as one of the most important training paths, it will also be possible for apprenticeship graduates in Austria to pursue academic degrees in the future.

The hands-on Bachelor’s degree program in Applied Business Management is aimed at people who seek to acquire skills applicable across a wide range of business sectors and who aspire to a career in corporate management.
This continuing education program offers the opportunity to achieve higher qualifications at an academic level. It provides a successful combination of compact, theoretically sound knowledge and practical training. These competences are implemented in a practical project, alongside deepening knowledge in fundamental areas of business administration. The program also covers future-oriented topics, such as sustainability and innovation in management, with a special focus on international trade relations. This ensures that all relevant fields of future-oriented business management are incorporated into the curriculum.
The Applied Business Management program concludes after six semesters with the academic title “Bachelor Professional (BPr)”.

- Tax reimbursement: You can write off the tuition fees against your taxes, as long as the continuing education program is relevant or related to your current occupational field. The tax advantage depends on your total income. You could be reimbursed for up to 43.6 % of the tuition fees!
