The certified program Digital Marketing aims to provide people who have professional experience in business administration, communication, marketing or sales with scientifically sound professional training in the areas of digital marketing.
Perfect compatibility with career
The continuing education certificate from FHWien der WKW can be easily combined with professional activities. The practice-oriented modules take place as blocked face-to-face classes at FHWien der WKW; alternatively, these modules can also be attended online. This means that this course can be completed without compulsory attendance.

Focus & Qualifications
The teaching concept of the Digital Marketing certificate course is characterized by a high degree of practical relevance, innovative teaching and learning methods, as well as adaptation to the needs of working students, with the focus on working in small groups.
The courses take place on one or two weekend blocks per month at FHWien der WKW. Online participation in these events is also possible. Interdisciplinary teams of lecturers from the field ensure that the various business, communication science and technical aspects of digital marketing are covered and interlinked.
The training objective of the certified program is therefore to offer participants in-depth knowledge in the various areas of digital marketing, which is a mixture of business content, IT content and increasingly AI content.

By acquiring these subject-specific, methodological and implementation-oriented qualifications and skills, students are prepared for their professional future as marketing communicators in the digital world.
Job & Career
The Digital Marketing certificate course provides people who have professional experience in communication, marketing and sales with scientifically sound professional training in the areas of digital communication and marketing and develops their skills for the following areas of responsibility:
- Designing automated marketing and sales processes
- Managing marketing appearances in social media
- Developing mobile advertising strategies and marketing apps
- Planning and implementation of search engine advertising and search engine optimization
- Designing the product and pricing policy for the online area
- Defining the content strategy and working with content management systems

Admission requirements
- Completion of a relevant Bachelor’s degree program at a university of applied sciences with at least 180 ECTS credits, OR completion of another relevant degree program at least at the same higher education level
OR
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience

General
- Tax reimbursement: You can write off the tuition fees against your taxes, as long as the continuing education program is relevant or related to your current occupational field. The tax advantage depends on your total income. You could be reimbursed for up to 43.6 % of the tuition fees!
